VI Peel
A VI Peel is specially formulated for pigmented, aging skin and skin with acne scars.
Your Peel for Pigmented Skin
Hyperpigmentation occurs when patches of skin become darker than the surrounding skin. Although it is usually harmless, it can be difficult to treat effectively. A VI Peel can help restore the skin tone you deserve.

- Reduces the appearance of age spots
- Brightens even the most stubborn areas of discoloration
- Smooths away rough skin texture
Your Peel for Acne Scars and Skin Texture
After your skin is acne free, you might be left with scars or increased pigmentation. Acne scars will often fade over time, but sometimes they need a little help. A VI Peel will help eliminate acne scars and skin damage, leaving your skin smooth and clear.
Specifically formulated for acne scars:
- Helps smooth skin texture and repair acne scars
- Brightens dark areas left after an acne scar
- Soothes inflammation and redness

How the Peeling Process Works
Stage 1. Days 1-2 |
Stage 2. Day 3 | |
No peeling. | Peeling usually begins by Day 3. It typically starts in the perioral area and moves outward.
The forehead will be the last area to peel.
Stage 3. Days 4-5 |
Stage 4. Days 6-7 | |
Days 4 and 5 are the most aggressive days of peeling. |
By day 6, most exfoliation has subsided.
Stage 5. Day 7 | ||
Peeling is done. You can go back to your normal skincare routine or follow our instructions. You can also continue to use your post-peel kit for 2-4 weeks. |
*A peel on the body is slower than a peel on the face, usually starting on days 4-7 and taking up to 10 days or more.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
- For 72-96 hours, refrain from activities that can induce excessive perspiration, which can lead to pigmentation or blistering. The post-peel towelettes are a crucial part of the peeling process and must be applied on the first and second days (following the instructions you have).
- A small percentage of patients say that after using the post-peel towelettes (especially the first night), they experience some itching. If itching is extreme, wash the face to remove the solution or apply the Post Peel Protectant after 10 minutes.
- The Post Peel Protectant may sting upon application, but the stinging quickly subsides. If you experience significant discomfort when applying it, you may substitute the Post Peel Protectant for cortisone cream (you can get it from any pharmacy over the counter) mixed with another gentle moisturizer you have at home that does not irritate the skin. An antihistamine may be taken to reduce extreme itchiness.
- Avoid sun exposure during the peeling phase. The use of sunscreen is essential. You may go out in the sun when the exfoliating subsides. Remember that your skin will be more sensitive to UV rays. Apply SPF 30 or higher every 2 hours when outdoors.
- During the week following the peel, you must use a gentle cleanser. You may use your own cleanser as long as it is not harsh or abrasive.
- Do not cleanse with a Clarisonic Brush, and do not use scrubs until the peeling process is complete (usually in 6-7 days).
- NEVER FORCE OR PEEL THE SKIN OFF IN SHEETS. This is very important because such actions may cause irritation, scarring, or pigmentation. The skin will slough off when washed in the morning and at night. If you would like to trim excess peeled skin from the face, a small pair of scissors is acceptable.
