What is Cosmelan?

The Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel really is a miracle solution that can reduce your hyperpigmentation, freckles, age spots and melasma by up to 95% with just one treatment.

The Cosmelan peel is the world’s leading professional depigmentation method designed to eliminate or reduce dark spots on your skin, while unifying the skin tone and enhancing skin luminosity. This proven treatment is helping thousands of people who deal with such a stubborn skin condition like melasma. The combination of corrective qualities found in the treatment make a Cosmelan peel a unique, non-toxic and effective solution that has an all-around corrective effect. In fact, whilst solving your pigment woes, the Cosmelan Peel will also gently resurface the skin and greatly improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles!

Cosmelan peel: is Cosmelan a peel?

Although often referred to as Cosmelan peel, the Cosmelan treatment goes beyond a peel. Unlike peels, which act on the surface of the problem, Cosmelan gets to the root of the problem. It consists in a treatment that visibly removes and attenuates pigmentation spots (like a peel) while exerting a regulating action that corrects the overproduction of pigmentation and prevents the spots from reappearing.

How does Cosmelan work?

The Cosmelan treatment involves using a proprietary combination of active ingredients with proven efficacy that interfere with the entire process of melanin production. In addition to removing the accumulation of excess melanin (pigment), the Cosmelan treatment inhibits the formation of new pigment.

Cosmelan works via several mechanisms:

  • Accelerates epidermal renewal to remove the accumulation of melanin
  • Reduces the amount of melanin formation and decreases dark spots
  • Blocks the transfer of melanin from the melanocyte to the keratinocyte, thus inhibiting the migration of pigment to epidermal layers of the skin
  • Reduces the synthesis of melanin inside melanocytes

The Cosmelan peel consists of 51 active ingredients, including numerous tyrosinase inhibitors, which block melanin production in the skin.

The 5 key tyrosinase inhibitors and lightening agents include:

  • Kojic Acid
  • Azelaic Acid
  • Arbutin
  • Phytic Acid
  • Licorice
  • Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C)

Isabel M,

I'm very surprised with the result, it's extraordinary. The results are slowly becoming apparent, and they don't fade with time. There is no regression, rather, it is constant progression. 10 of 10.
