Bellafill Special Treatment
Bellafill is an FDA-approved, long-lasting dermal filler designed specifically for atrophic acne scars and smile lines. It provides immediate lift and stimulates long-term collagen production, creating lasting structural support beneath the skin. Unlike temporary fillers that dissolve within a few months, Bellafill offers long-lasting structural support, making it an excellent choice for clients seeking durable improvement in acne scars and facial contour.

Why we recommend Bellafill
We recommend Bellafill for atrophic acne scars because it offers something uniquely powerful that traditional subcision and temporary fillers cannot provide: true, long-lasting tissue support and actual tissue gain. While many fillers provide temporary volume, Bellafill delivers immediate correction and long-term structural support by stimulating your own collagen production. It’s a comprehensive strategy that leads to smoother texture, improved volume, and prolonged structural support — essential components for treating true atrophic scars.
How does it work:
Immediate Correction:
- Bellafill provides instant volume and trigger your skin’s natural collagen production.
Long-Term Support:
- Bellafill remains in place and acts as a biostimulant, creating a structural matrix that encourages your skin to produce its own natural collagen for years.
FAQ
Yes. Bellafill is FDA-approved for the correction of atrophic acne scars and smile lines, and when administered properly, it is considered safe and highly effective. Our clinic’s specialists are specifically trained and certified in Bellafill injection techniques, ensuring that each treatment is performed safely, accurately, and with the highest aesthetic standards.
You’ll see immediate improvement thanks to the collagen gel, and results become even better over time as your skin builds new collagen. Most patients notice full improvement over several months.
Bellafill is one of the longest-lasting fillers available. It creates a foundation that can maintain visible improvement for 3+ years, and often much longer. Its unique formulation provides immediate volume while encouraging your skin to build new collagen over time.
Subcision releases the fibrous bands tethering a scar, but the improvement depends solely on your skin’s natural healing response—similar to how muscles grow only from the micro-tears created during a workout. Bellafill works like protein before the workout: subcision creates the stimulus for repair, and Bellafill provides the “building material” your skin needs to rebuild more effectively. Bellafill gives immediate volume and stimulates continuous collagen production. The result is smoother texture, stronger support, and significantly longer-lasting correction compared to subcision alone.
Most fillers (like hyaluronic acid fillers) dissolve naturally within 6–12 months. Bellafill is unique because it is long-lasting and non-resorbable. The specific microspheres remain in place and act as a scaffold for years, encouraging continuous collagen production. As a result, Bellafill offers significantly longer-lasting, more regenerative benefits, especially for atrophic acne scars.
Most patients require 2 or more sessions for complete correction of atrophic acne scars, depending on scar area and number. Your specialist will create a personalized plan based on your skin needs.
Bellafill is designed to stay precisely where it is placed. Unlike softer fillers that can shift within the tissue, Bellafill integrates into your skin as your body builds new collagen around it. This natural integration helps keep the product stable and prevents migration. When injected by highly trained specialists—like those in our clinic—the filler is placed at the correct depth and in the correct planes, ensuring predictable, long-lasting results without movement.
A small bump can occasionally be felt after Bellafill injections, especially in the first few weeks. This is typically normal and often represents early collagen formation or the body’s integration of the product. Most small bumps soften and smooth out naturally as the tissue settles and new collagen develops.
Bellafill is especially well-suited for individuals with atrophic acne scars, particularly tethered scars that appear depressed due to being anchored down by fibrous bands beneath the skin. Because Bellafill stimulates collagen and adds durable support, it’s one of the most effective options for restoring volume and improving the appearance of the scarred skin.
Bellafill can be safely combined with subcision, which can be done in the same session to release tethered scars and create an ideal environment for the filler. Other procedures—like RF microneedling, chemical peels, or laser resurfacing—should not be done in the same session. These treatments are best scheduled after Bellafill, allowing your skin to settle and ensuring that the filler can integrate properly.
