Problem and Solution:

One of the main culprits for acne formation is excessive oil production. Without an overproduction of oil, acne won't form in the first place. Similar to how lasers for hair removal target hair roots, the AviClear laser targets the oil in your glands. This balances oil production, preventing acne from forming.

How does AviClear works:

How does it work? During the treatment, we deliver a precise amount of energy directly to the depth of your skin where the oil glands are located. The laser beam reduces their activity and prevents the formation of microcomedones, the precursors to every type of acne.

Why we like AviClear for acne treatments at AcneClinicNYC:

We love AviClear for providing an option for clients who prefer pill-free acne treatments, advanced laser acne therapies, and wish to treat acne quickly and intensively. The AviClear laser, used in conjunction with our clinic's specific approach and unique protocols, delivers excellent results for our clients.

Pre-treatment guide for AviClear laser:

  • Avoid any form of skin exfoliation for one week prior.
  • Do not tan or use self-tanner for at least two weeks before.
  • Arrive with clean, product-free skin for the treatment.
  • Post-Treatment Care:

  • Discontinue use of prescribed topicals 3 days before treatment
  • Avoid waxing, epilation, chemical peels, and laser hair removal 7 days before treatment. Your skin should not be irritated.
  • Shave facial hair a day before the procedure (for men)
  • No sunburn. Previous sun exposure and tan are acceptable
  • Post-treatment care after AviClear laser:

  • Day 1-3: Limit any exercise or activity that can cause seating for 24 hours post-treatment.
  • Avoid heat (hot showers, hot tubs, saunas, etc.) for 48 hours post-treatment.
  • Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizing cream.
  • Makeup can be used the day after treatment
  • Day 4: Resume your regular skincare routine. If any products with active ingredients cause sensitivity, stop using them for a week before gradually reintroducing them.
  • Always: Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen every 2 hours when outdoors.
  • It’s crucial to use only non-comedogenic products for your face, scalp, and hair. Ensure everything you apply is non-comedogenic with our easy-to-use checker.
